Job Description

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

Responsible for posting patient charges, posting insurance and patient payments,

billing insurance, billing patients and responding to patient's billing questions.

Demonstrate ability to consistently meet work schedule demands in the clinic.

Maintain patient confidentiality and use discretion in patient interactions.

Promote a positive, professional image of the clinic. Promote positive interpersonal relationships with patients and co-workers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Post office and surgical charges

Post insurance and patient personal payments

Bill insurance companies and patients

Follow-up on unpaid insurance claims

Follow-up on unpaid patient statements

Receive and respond to billing calls

Close Day and Month End

Preauthorization

SKILLS REQUIRED

Good communication, organizational and multi-tasking skills

Ability to adapt to changes in the workplace, duties and office policies.

General computer knowledge and ability to adapt to current office software.

EDUCATION

High school diploma or GED

Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding West Des Moines OBGYN Associates, PC
