Trust & Safety Lead - LATAM (Spanish-speaking)

We're hiring a Spanish-speaking Trust & Safety professional to help build and scale safety operations across Latin America. This is a foundational, hybrid role based in Mountain View, CA-perfect for someone excited to own regional strategy and roll up their sleeves with day-to-day moderation work.

As the first LATAM-focused T&S team member, you'll work at the intersection of policy, content moderation, training, and vendor management . You'll help define how we keep users safe across Latin America and play a key role in shaping regional policies, training Spanish-speaking vendors, and enforcing platform standards.

🔍 What You'll Do

• Moderate video content in Spanish and escalate high-risk cases (e.g., child safety, graphic violence).

• Localize policies for LATAM's cultural, legal, and linguistic landscape.

• Train & support vendor partners , including onboarding, quality review, and Spanish-language training modules.

• Partner cross-functionally with Legal, Product, and Ops to drive enforcement, policy rollout, and escalation processes.

• Track moderation performance and flag policy or workflow gaps.

✅ What We're Looking For

• Native/fluent Spanish speaker with strong English proficiency .

• 2-4+ years in Trust & Safety, content moderation, or online safety , ideally in Latin American markets.

• Experience working with BPOs or moderation vendors is a plus.

• Comfortable in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

🌟 Bonus Points

• Experience launching safety ops in new regions or scaling global T&S programs.

• Familiarity with LATAM-specific laws and risks (e.g., data privacy, Marco Civil, child safety).

• Strong written communication skills in both Spanish and English.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. Desired Skills and Experience

✅ Fluent in Spanish and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills

✅ 2-4+ years in Trust & Safety, content moderation, or online safety, with a focus on LATAM markets and cultural context

✅ Experience localizing policies, reviewing high-risk content (e.g. child safety, graphic violence), and managing escalations

✅ Proven ability to train, onboard, and support Spanish-speaking vendors/BPOs while maintaining quality and consistency

✅ Comfortable working cross-functionally with Legal, Product, and Ops in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
