A contract opportunity is available for dedicated professionals skilled in providing support within K-12 educational settings. We are seeking two paraprofessionals who are fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) to work closely with students, fostering an inclusive learning environment for the full school year.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification in education or child development preferred.
• Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and knowledge of deaf culture.
• Previous experience working with students, particularly those with special needs, is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with educators and support staff.
• Ability to adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet individual student needs.

Location:

• Little Rock, AR

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, facilitating their engagement in classroom activities.
• Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and adapting materials to support diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with educational staff to ensure effective communication and support for students.
• Monitor student progress and behavior in accordance with school policies and procedures.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required.
