The primary purpose of this role is to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant settlement of physical and financial natural gas transactions. This includes reconciling pipeline volumes, managing imbalances and inventory, verifying pricing indexes, and resolving discrepancies through effective communication with counterparties and internal stakeholders. The position demands a proactive approach to deal monitoring, invoicing, physical flows and cash management, while supporting audit readiness, month-end close activities, and continuous process improvements. Key responsibilities include performing daily and month gas settlement activities, validating volumetric and price data against counterparty invoices, contracts, trading systems, and supporting pipeline documentation, reconciling pipeline statements and imbalances against internal systems, resolving settlement discrepancies with counterparties and internal teams, tracking imbalances and inventory balances for storages, managing cash settlements, maintaining accurate records, supporting audits, assisting with month-end close activities and reporting, coordinating with Accounting for accruals and reconciliations, and contributing to system enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, prior experience in natural gas scheduling and settlements, knowledge of physical gas flows, pricing structures, and market dynamics across U.S. regions, understanding of pipeline operations and tariff frameworks, risk assessment capabilities, collaboration skills across functional teams, documentation skills, commitment to continuous learning and IT tools usage, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, experience with Allegro ETRM systems (a plus), familiarity with NAESB contracts (an advantage), and strong written and verbal communication skills.
