Housekeeper Position In Alamo, CA

A lovely couple in Alamo, CA is seeking a housekeeper for their residence. They can be flexible for this role in the sense of schedule and live-in or live-out. They can do live-out for 2-3 days a week or they can do live-out or live-in for 5 days a week. Weekends would be off. There are no children in the home and there are two small dogs (Tibetan Terriers which is a medium-sized breed of dog). For them, a wonderful personality and chemistry is important so they can therefore be flexible of what they are seeking in the sense of schedule and living in or out. The husband is from the UK and the wife is from Scotland. This role will be approximately 75% housekeeping and 25% home management.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day household cleaning of their 5 bed, 6.5+ bath, 7400 sq. ft. home (there are not many rooms in the home, but the rooms are very large. They don't use all of the rooms as it is just the 2 of them and their medium-sized breed dogs)
• Laundry
• Organization
• Occasional errands
• Petsitting their 2 dogs
• Letting vendors in
• Opening and/or managing packages that arrive, etc.
• Setting up the outdoor furniture for the summer and cleaning/maintaining it
• Light cooking is a preferred bonus
• They have a home in Carmel-by-the-Sea that will be undergoing remodeling for the next few years, but eventual help with cleaning this home as well at times is desired and perhaps eventual relocation there with housing provided

Requirements

• Detail-oriented, reliable, and discreet
• Prior experience in private homes
• Must love dogs (not just tolerating dogs) as there will be dog care/petsitting involved
• Someone who "mucks in" and isn't too precious in the sense of airs or attitude; someone who is easygoing, has a sense of humor, is honest, and loyal
• Comfortable around a high-security system (using codes to lock/unlock windows and doors)
• Can work on your own initiative; understand what needs to be done (I.E., looking up to see if cobwebs are present and removing accordingly, etc.)
• Comfortable with lots of steps and getting on a ladder (lots of windows and French doors and cleaning windows is part of the job duties)

Salary and Benefits

• There is an au pair suite in Alamo for the candidate to reside in if working full-time and live-in. There is no oven and no washer/dryer in the au pair suite.
• $40-50/hour if live-in, if live-out, they can be open to considering a different hourly rate
• A healthcare stipend (monthly amount provided to purchase own healthcare) or healthcare reimbursement (HRA), 2 weeks PTO, and major holidays off
