Job Description

Our Entry-Level Field Service Technician position is a unique opportunity to employ your technical experience by collaborating with healthcare professionals and participating in technical initiatives in medical device technology. You will be responsible for assisting Field Service Technicians with replacing parts, troubleshooting, repairing, and updating medical devices in a hospital setting with the support of an on-site team. This is a great opportunity to develop and advance your technical skills! Responsibilities include assisting field service staff with organizing, testing, updating medical devices, installing/configuring hardware, software, and network products; manually moving and carrying medical equipment and un-boxing medical devices from shipping or storage containers; set-up and organization of equipment and workstations; conducting routine checks and recording data from product tests after installation and configuration; working assignment-based schedule per diem; traveling nationally to support customer needs; providing ongoing communication and customer support to on-site hospital staff; providing on-the-job training for new hires; and completing other duties at the discretion of management. Requirements include minimum 1-2 years of technical experience in a hospital setting preferred, active and unrestricted driver license and personal vehicle for local assignments, comfort with basic software programs and Microsoft OS, ability to assemble/disassemble equipment, ability to sit/stand long periods and lift up to 50 pounds, ability to work assignment-based schedule with 40+ hours per week when on assignment, and ability to clear hospital vendor credentialing including proof of vaccination. Preferred experience includes hardware repairs (replacing bezels, key pads, buttons, batteries), software calibrations, networking, software updates, and equipment/workstation setup and organization.
