The Audio Engineer role involves performing the load-in and load-out of band and rental equipment, setting up and breaking down band and event equipment, cabling and patching, working as a team with the crew, making audio adjustments and maintaining safe audio levels while providing a professional mix, operating audio control boards, overseeing visiting audio techs during shows, protecting, maintaining and repairing audio equipment, assisting with production throughout the house, assisting the Production Manager with technical advance with artists' representatives, ensuring proper care and handling of all company and rental audio equipment, interacting with visiting production crews to ensure successful shows, distributing or creating audio plans, overseeing and operating audio systems throughout the venue, ensuring special events audio needs are scheduled and met professionally, maintaining relationships with local and national audio vendors, maintaining and repairing sound, light and stage equipment, assisting the Stage Manager with show passes, assisting lighting crew with stands, microphones, cables, and assisting with any special events operations. Required qualifications include a minimum of 3 years tour and stage production experience, experience in stage lighting, pro audio systems and basic video systems, ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, proficiency with Microsoft applications, superior interpersonal communication and organizational skills, and a high school diploma. Preferred qualification is a college degree. Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in an environment with moderate to loud noise levels.
