An East Tennessee Department of Energy Facility is looking for an AI Security Analyst. A federal clearance if preferred.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, implement, and maintain AI governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure secure and responsible use of AI technologies.
  2. Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, standards, and best practices for AI security and ethics.
  3. Establish guidelines for the ethical creation, management, and use of AI datasets and models.
  4. Conduct risk assessments of AI systems and datasets to identify potential security vulnerabilities and ethical concerns.
  5. Implement controls and mitigation strategies to address identified risks and ensure the integrity of AI models.
  6. Monitor AI systems for compliance with established governance policies and procedures.
  7. Prepare and present reports on AI governance and security metrics to senior management and stakeholders.
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, researchers, and IT security, to promote a culture of responsible AI use.
  9. Develop and deliver training programs to educate staff on AI governance, security policies, and best practices.
  10. Stay updated with the latest developments in AI governance, ethics, and security.
  11. Continuously review and improve AI governance frameworks and processes to adapt to evolving technologies and regulatory landscapes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Data Science, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience in developing and implementing governance frameworks and policies, preferably in an AI or data-intensive environment.
  3. Strong understanding of AI technologies, ethical AI principles, and data privacy regulations.
  4. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  5. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  6. Certifications in information security (e.g., CISSP, CISM) or AI ethics (e.g., AI Ethics Certification) are a plus.
